THE MONSTER OF OBLIVION LIVES UNFRIENDLY AT ALPHA CASSIOPEIA
And time plays to cover us of these nights
without starlight or moonlight
On summer afternoons
a man with sad eyes no longer buys
an eighteen pack or has sex on a bed
with fuchsia sheets
The sad-eyed man
will now be able to climb
the entire sky to the brink of loss
and follow his path
With the cool of the night
meteors will rain
and the starry sky
could bring him home
from far away beyond Orion
But unfriendly
in the dark
time does not remember of a sad-eyed man
who no longer buys an eighteen pack
or has sex on a bed with fuchsia sheets
Perhaps
the man’s eyes will rise
to the northen sky
without a ship
and follow their route
Perhaps
with the cool of the night
the force will pair
his surrendered sword of light
And perhaps
from the starry sky
meteors will rain
to bring home
his shooting smile

Y el tiempo juega a cubrirnos de estas noches
sin resplandor de estrellas ni luz de luna
En tardes de verano, un hombre de ojos tristes
ya no compra un eighteen pack
ni tiene sexo sobre una cama
de sábanas fucsias
El hombre de ojos tristes
ahora podrá trepar todo el cielo
al borde de la pérdida
y seguir su ruta
Con el frescor de la noche
lloverán meteoritos
y la fuga de estrellas
quizás le traiga a casa
desde más allá de Orión
Pero hostil
en la penumbra
el tiempo no recuerda
que un hombre de ojos tristes
ya no compra un eighteen pack
ni tiene sexo sobre una cama de sábanas fucsias
Quizás
los ojos del hombre
trepen sin nave
hasta el cielo del norte
y sigan su ruta
Quizás
en el frescor de la noche
la fuerza acompañe
a su rendida espada de luz
Y quizás
del cielo estrellado
lluevan meteoritos
que acerquen a casa
su fugaz sonrisa
